While the poster before me seem to have the complete opposite experience, I thought I would share my story. I lost a filling in a front tooth and needed someone to fix it asap. My friend also goes here with her children and had been extremely pleased with them. I lived a few blocks away and decided to see if they could squeeze me in.
They were very nice and were able to squeeze me in (and accommodate my timing request since I'm a stay at home mom with two littles and needed to work around my husbands schedule) the next day! I had called around closing time and was hoping to get in within the week. Was very please they were able to get me in the next business day.
I have had nothing but good experiences here. Been going for 6 month cleanings for about 5 years now with no issues.
Continuously had bad experiences here. Hygienists were very rough on my gums. Told me I should floss more (I floss every day). The problem was not flossing. It was them slicing up my gums. During my last cleaning, I was told I had enamel wear and needed a filling . I was not having any pain or sensitivity problems with the tooth at the time. Then, after the filling, I was having mulitple issues. Very rude front office staff failed to return any of my phone calls (still haven't actually). They had no concern about getting me back in for shoddy work they performed. Told me I might have to wait a month and a half, despite the fact that my bite was causing extreme gum soreness. I had developed an ulcer underneath the tooth. I recorded the phone calls, and I'm considering posting them on youtube just so people can see what jerks these people are. Was I rude to them? Yep, but I think anyone would understand why a patient, in pain, might be irritated with a dentist who would not return my phone call when I was having a dental issue. I expect the business to be more understanding and not act rude and hang up on me, because they do not like being questioned about their business practices. I never cursed or anything, so they really had no reason to be so rude. We will never set foot in this dentistry again. They also later told me the filling was for a cavity, not for the enamel wear they initially told me about. I had been told I had a cavity a year prior as well. Interesting, because I rarely get cavities that I was told I had one every time I went back for another cleaning, and I was lied to the second time apparently. I would've never let them fill it without a second opinion had I known that prior to the filling.
I plan on taking my 3 year old for her first appointment here, and my follow up cleanings as well. If my opinion changes I will be sure to update!
I also am a very hard patient to numb as I have a "caine"drug tolerance (novacaine, lidocaine, etc.) that runs in my family. This is the second dentist who has ever been able to fully numb my mouth in one shot! I mean, I'm usually given 6+ shots at other offices, so to say I was thrilled doesn't cut it. The dentist replaced my filling and it ended up looking better than the original one, to the point where you can't even tell I have a filling! It's on a front bottom tooth, so it's a pretty noticeable spot.
